Hello

My name is Susana Miranda, and I am a 1st generation child born to immigrants that came to the United States from Mexico.  My family was a low-income household, and my siblings and myself were not able to participate in sports or other extracurricular activities because my parents did not have the means to pay for extra stuff.  It is important to me to help children in the same situation because sports make a difference in the lives of many children.  This is where they learn many essential life skills that they will use in life.
